"Photography for me is an escape. It’s a way to get out of my head and observe. It’s a moving meditation. It gives me a reason to get out and hit the pavement, to engage with people I might not otherwise encounter. I’m an introvert with extroverted tendencies. My camera is my social lubricant. It has led to some of the nicest moments in my life: new friendships, big laughs, free accommodation, unexpected parties, and now, to you. Ain’t that somethin'." Greg Fairbank is a photographer and public school teacher based in Chicago, Illinois. Born in 1989, he has taken photos since he was 16 but feels like he’s still figuring it out, which is part of the fun. Greg has lived in Mexico City, Berlin, and visited all 50 states, always with a camera in tow. He likes the outdoors, slow Sundays mornings with a newspaper, and whistling. @gregfairbank
