Moroccan Tea

My daughter, who speaks Arabic and Turkish, posed for this print of a woman pouring tea in the traditional manner. It was also inspired by the excellent, yet unassuming, Moroccan Hospitality eatery in Malden, MA. This print and a recipe for Moroccan mint tea are included in From Palate to Plate, prints and recipes from members of The Boston Printmakers. The print was exhibited at the Newport Art Museum in fall, 2014 in Newport, RI.

Stephanie Mahan Stigliano currently teaches Printmaking and Books as Art at Walnut Hill School for the Arts, Natick, MA. Stigliano contributed three books to the international traveling exhibition Al-Mutanabbi Street Starts Here, which will become part of the collection of the Baghdad National Library of Iraq. She is East Coast Coordinator for the traveling exhibition of prints, Absence and Presence, which had its inaugural exhibition at San Francisco Center for the Book in December, 2014.
